The international conference "International Criminal Law before Domestic Courts" is organised by the Ludwig Boltzmann Institute of Fundamental and Human Rights in cooperation with the Institute of Constitutional and Administrative Law of the Law Faculty of the University of Vienna.
In the course of the conference, national and international experts will analyze which contribution national law can make to the enforcement of international criminal law in the context of its potential universality as well as subsidiarity and complementarity under international criminal law. With keynotes by Prof. Dr. William Schabas and Prof. Dr. Kai Ambos, the conference covers a wide range of topics such as the interrelationship between international criminal law and human rights, the cultural dimension of international criminal law, the prosecution of conflict-related sexual violence as an international crime or the use of new types of digital evidence before national criminal courts.
The international conference will be held in English and will take place as a hybrid event in the Law Faculty of the University of Vienna as well as via livestream. Participation in the conference is free. Registration is requested.
