Monika Mayrhofer contributed with an article on "Gender (In)equality, Disaster and Human Rights - the CEDAW Committee and General Recommendation No. 37" to the first issue of the Yearbook of International Disaster Law, which was published at the end of 2019.
The study "Rechtsstellung und rechtliche Behandlung von Umweltflüchtlingen" (Legal Status of Environmental Refugees) on behalf of the German Federal Environment Agency (UBA) was published. The study is co-authored by Manfred Nowak and Margit Ammer of the Ludwig Boltzmann Institute of Human Rights (together with Gerhard Hafner and Lisa Stadlmayer, Section for International Law and International Relations/Law Faculty at the University of Vienna) and analyses the legal treatment of environmental refugees.
A new FRA report on the housing conditions of Roma and travellers in the European Union was published in October 2009. According to the report findings, Roma and Travellers are still strongly disadvantaged in private and social housing throughout the European Union.
