Key competences

  • Research on women's rights, in particular in the context of "war, peace and democratization"; domestic violence, the role of women in politics, labour market and society as a whole; (development and implementation of projects, publishing)
  • Years of experience and profound knowledge in the area of "human rights and civic education" with special emphasis on gender related topics. (development and head of the former "Service Center of Civic Education" for Austrian schools - nowadays "Zentrum polis - learning democracy in schools").
  • Several years of teaching at the University of Vienna (faculty of history), course on civic and human rights education, especially in the field of women's rights, political system, media and politics, etc.

Professional record

  • Associate at Ludwig Boltzmann Institute for Fundamental and Human Rights working in the area of women's rights. (since 2009)
  • Maternity leave and development of an EU-supported protect: "intercultural communication of youth" and implementation of the project: "pupils University" on the topic of "Women in the labour market". (2006-2009) 
  • Associate and head of the "Service Centre of Civic Education" (now Zentrum polis). (2001-2006)
  • Lecturer at the University of Vienna, faculty of history, on civic and human rights education (women's rights, political system, media and politics). (since 2002
  • Support organizational activities for the students of the European Master´s Degree in Human Rights and Democratisation in Vienna including  training weeks in Bosnia and Herzegovina. (2000-2003)

  • Degree in political studies, jounalism & communication studies at the University of Vienna. (1994-1995)
    Diploma thesis on mass rape in Bosnia and Herzegovina in consideration of
