On Wed, 18 May 2022, the Fundraising Verband Austria (FVA) invites you to the 8th Sciencefundraising Conference.

How can complex contents from science and research be communicated in such a way that people become enthusiastic about them? How can an institution network with different target groups such as alumni, business leaders or philanthropists? And how can you create long-term connections that ultimately result in a commitment to science, research and education?

At the conference, Patricia Mussi-Mailer, Administrative Director of LBI-GMR, and Franziska Wangler, PR & Communications Manager at LBI-GMR, will hold a workshop on “Science Communication: What Works?”. Using practical examples from the daily work of the LBI-GMR, our colleagues will show how research can be communicated in a way that is effective for the public, what works well (on which channels) and what does not. The workshop will focus in particular on content alignment for consistent and sustainable science communication. Participants* will be asked to send examples from their organizations in advance to cebwrxgr@shaqenvfvat.ng that they consider particularly successful or very difficult to disseminate. These examples will be discussed in the group.
