Association of Human Rights Annual Conference 2026

The annual conference of the Association of Human Rights (AHRI) will take place from 4 to 6 November 2026. The LBI-GMR will also be represented as a member.
The AHRI conference, entitled “Enduring Contributions and Challenges: The 60-Year and 20-Year Legacies of the International Covenants and the Human Rights Council”, will take place in early November. The LBI-GMR will also be participating, including in the panel “Democratic Backsliding: The Role of the UN Human Rights Mechanisms and Treaty Bodies in Strengthening Democracy”.
The panel, taking place on 5 November at 11:00, will focus on democracy, the international human rights system, artificial intelligence, institutional innovation and civil society. Moderator Dr Nora Salem (LBI-GMR & University of Vienna) will be joined by:
