Experts discuss measures against human trafficking

Experts from the “Innovation in Anti-Trafficking Think Tank Group” invite you to an exchange on “Countering the Toxic Interface of Migration, Human Trafficking and Related Labor Exploitation 2.0”.
The think-tank event aims to discuss misleading assumptions and stereotypes related to human trafficking and exploitation together with European researchers, academics, practitioners and stakeholders. The focus is on intergovernmental cooperation in migration management, protection and awareness-raising for victims of human trafficking.
Helmut Sax, child rights expert and senior researcher at the Ludwig Boltzmann Institute of Fundamental and Human Rights (LBI-GMR), will take part in the expert panel discussion on “Children and Minors at Risk”. The discussion will provide in-depth insights into the latest developments and challenges related to child trafficking and exploitation, with a particular focus on effective prevention and combating. Helmut Sax will give a lecture on the following topic: “Challenging Assumptions in the Field of online Child Trafficking and Sexual Exploitation – Financial Sextortion of Children as a Business Model”.
The entire event will be streamed live. The discussions will be held exclusively in English, without translations. In addition, the think tank event will provide summaries and background information from the experts and discussants on the PlatformNET.
Registration is mandatory for on-site participation and is possible from Monday, September 23, through Wednesday, October 2, 2024. No registration is required for the live stream.
