Ceremony on the occasion of the joint continuation of the Ludwig Boltzmann Institute for Fundamental and Human Rights
Thu, 24 September 2020 18:00- 19:30
Kleiner Festsaal der Universität Wien, Universitätsring 1, 1010 Wien
As the “City of Human Rights”, Vienna has the largest university in the German-speaking world, the University of Vienna, which is dedicated to the topic of “Human Rights” in all its diversity. At the same time, Vienna is the seat of the Ludwig Boltzmann Gesellschaft, whose special focus as a research institution is on the application orientation of basic research and its translation into social relevance.
Both institutions have decided to further and sustainably combine their expertise and strengths in the field of basic and human rights research.
To this end, they have established a university professorship for fundamental and human rights at the Institute for Constitutional and Administrative Law, which is entrusted with the management of the Ludwig Boltzmann Institute for Fundamental and Human Rights. By reorganizing and intensifying the cooperation within the framework of an Institute Partner Agreement, the Ludwig Boltzmann Institute for Fundamental and Human Rights will continue to conduct basic human rights research in accordance with the highest scientific standards, while pursuing its practice-oriented approach in order to achieve added value for society.
To celebrate the reorganization and intensification of the cooperation within the framework of an institute partner agreement, the University of Vienna and the Ludwig Boltzmann Society cordially invite you to a ceremony.
We ask for your understanding that participation is only possible after registration and confirmation.
