Event: Vienna without human rights? – A journey of thought into a city without rights
Tuesday, 22 April 2025, 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
VHS Urania Vienna, Uraniastraße 1, 1010 Wien
In an interactive panel discussion, experts will discuss how fundamental human rights are for the city of Vienna – and what is at stake if they are not protected.
What would happen if there were no human rights in Vienna? What would our everyday life look like if democracy, the rule of law and, for example, the right to a healthy environment and women’s rights suddenly no longer existed? What consequences would this have for our coexistence?
Our colleague Camilla Haake, PostDoc at the Ludwig Boltzmann Institute of Fundamental and Human Rights (LBI-GMR, will be asking these questions together with experts on 22 April at Urania Vienna as part of an interactive panel discussion organised by Urania Vienna in cooperation with the Human Rights Office of the City of Vienna.
Participation is free of charge. You can find the programme and the registration link here: https://www.vhs.at/de/k/287723738
