Camilla Haake Becomes Science Ambassador

An initiative by the Ministry of Women, Research and Science aims to get children and young people interested in research.

Our colleague Camilla Haake, PostDoc at the Ludwig Boltzmann Institute of Fundamental and Human Rights, has been a science ambassador for the Agency for Education and Internationalisation (OeAD) since February 2025. The initiative is part of the Federal Ministry for Women, Science and Research’s  ‘Science and Democracy Communication’ focus area, which promotes measures to strengthen trust in science and democracy. As science ambassadors, over 490 researchers visit schools throughout Austria on a voluntary basis to talk about their field of research and professional careers. This gives pupils the opportunity to ask questions directly to researchers and gain an insight into their everyday work. The aim of the science ambassadors is to inspire children and young people with their passion and areas of research.

We cordially congratulate Camilla on her now role as science ambassador!
