Between November 2025 and February 2026, significant progress was achieved within the framework of the project “EU Support for the Rule of Law in North Macedonia”. The project is led by the Ludwig Boltzmann Institute for Fundamental and Human Rights and supported and funded by the Directorate-General for Neighbourhood and Enlargement Negotiations (DG NEAR).

On the occasion of the International Day for the Prevention of Sexual Exploitation, Abuse and Violence against Children, the national campaign “1 in 5 – Stop Sexual Violence Against Children” was officially launched, marking another important step in strengthening child protection. The campaign aims at raising public awareness and encouraging children to speak about their experiences. At the same time, adults are provided with the necessary knowledge and practical tools to recognize sexual violence against children at an early stage, prevent it effectively, and ensure the long-term protection of children.

In the area of anti-corruption, a four-day training was conducted with staff members of the State Commission for the Prevention of Corruption (SCPC). Participants strengthened their skills in data collection, cleaning, and integration, as well as in developing analytical models and dashboards. The focus was on analyzing large amounts of data such as financial records, asset declarations, and procurement data. The aim is to use data to strengthen corruption prevention and enable the early detection of irregularities.

A particular highlight of this quarter was the second Forum of Impulses, a participatory event aimed at strengthening the independence of human rights institutions. The focus was on the newly published handbook on the application of the Human Rights-Based Approach (HRBA), which was presented in practice-oriented workshops and serves as an important tool for promoting transparency and inclusion.
