Before Veronika Janyrova joined the Ludwig Boltzmann Institute of Fundamental and Human Rights (LBI-GMR), she worked as an EU project manager at the Vienna Institute for International Economic Studies, where she coordinated the development, submission and implementation of international research projects together with scientific project managers – from the initial idea to the publication and dissemination of the results.

As a juror for the ‘SozialMarie – Award for Social Innovation’, she regularly evaluated social projects from Austria and its neighbouring countries in terms of their innovative content. Veronika has also been involved in numerous film, art, print and cultural productions.

She completed her studies at the Centre for Translation Studies at the University of Vienna as a simultaneous interpreter and at the Open University Business School, UK, as a Master of Business Administration.
