Moot Court of the Master’s Program Human Rights

In the course of the postgraduate Master’s programme Human Rights, a Moot Court was held in June 2022, in which the students were able to convince with their performance.

Please rise for this year’s Human Rights Moot Court winners! In the course of the Master’s programme Human Rights, the students participated in the “Human Rights Master’s Moot Court Competition” in June 2022 and achieved excellent results. Moot courts are fictitious court hearings in which students, as legal representatives, have to try a case before a fictitious court of renowned lawyers. The participants were able to demonstrate their excellent rhetorical skills and shine through their technique of legal argumentation and solidity of content.

This year’s winners in particular were able to successfully assert themselves against the already advanced pleadings of their opponents at the finale on Sat., 4 June 2022 in the large jury courtroom of Regional Court for Criminal Matters in Vienna and ultimately convince the judges with their remarkable performance.

Special thanks go to the President of the Regional Court for Criminal Matters Vienna, Friedrich Forsthuber, the Constitutional Court Judge Ingrid Siess-Scherz and our Scientific Director Michael Lysander Fremuth for making the Moot Court finals such a success and a lasting memory. They participated in the Moot Court as judges.

Our thanks also go to all judges from the preliminary rounds.

Special mention should be made of Konstantina Stavrou‘s performance as Moot Court coach. She prepared the participants excellently and made a considerable contribution to their success.
