New Carlo Schmid Fellow at the LBI-GMR
The programme line “Human Dignity and Public Security” is getting support from Clara Kuhlmann.
Clara Kuhlmann has been supporting the programme line “Human Dignity and Public Security” at the Ludwig Boltzmann Institute of Fundamental and Human Rights (LBI-GMR) since September 2024. The position as Carlo Schmid Fellow is funded by the German Academic Exchange Service from September 2024 to the end of February 2025. Clara will support the team in particular in the areas of children’s rights and human trafficking, as well as in the project “LGBTIQ Detainees – Strengthening the rights of LGBTIQ detainees in the EU”.
Recently, Clara completed her master’s degree in Human Rights and Multi-Level Governance at the University of Padua. In her master’s thesis, Clara dealt with the concept of modern slavery and the 1926 Slavery Convention. She is particularly interested in the areas of human trafficking as well as in the rights of children and refugees.
Clara is very much looking forward to putting the knowledge acquired during her studies into practice and to getting to know other areas of fundamental and human rights.
