Oxford Handbook of LGBTI Law now available in print as well

It provides a comprehensive analysis of both international and various national legal situations relating to LGBTI persons.

“Article 1 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights emphasises that all human beings are born free and equal in dignity and rights – it is time to fulfil this promise for LGBTI persons as well,“ concludes Michael Lysander Fremuth in his contribution on LGBTI persons in the context of migration and asylum. Together with Andreas R. Ziegler (professor at the University of Lausanne) and Berta Hernández-Truyol (professor at the University of Florida), the scientific director of the Ludwig Boltzmann Institute of Fundamental and Human Rights and professor at the University of Vienna served as editor of the book.

Experts in the fields of LGBTI law and human rights, stemming from diverse legal and cultural backgrounds, address a wide range of relevant legal issues: from gender perspectives in legal philosophy and the criminalisation of homosexuality to legal provisions on rainbow families and in working life, to LGBTI rights in the context of religion, health, sports, freedom of expression, armed conflicts and international criminal law. The book examines both the legal situation in Europe and the situation in Middle Eastern, African and Asian countries.
