In his blog post, Andreas Sauermoser, researcher at the Institute, analyses the recent decision of the Austrian Federal Administrative Court according to which Austria is obliged to repatriate an Austrian citizen and her two minor children from a Syrian detention camp. According to Sauermoser, Austria’s refusal to repatriate the mother and her children from Syria constitutes a violation of the Convention on the Rights of the Child.
