Previously, Irina worked as a research assistant at the Institute for Journalism and Communication Studies at the University of Vienna, where she gained familiarity with academic processes. Her other work experience includes positions and internships as a journalist at several large media companies and freelance work specifically in the field of science and medical journalism.

Irina is currently writing her master’s thesis in political science and previously completed her bachelor’s degrees in journalism and communication studies as well as in comparative literature.

In the context of her work on the LBG-GMR’s Human Rights Talks, she is particularly looking forward to gaining insights into the human rights framework of various (socio-) political issues.
