In this contribution to the VIDC‘s Spotlight Magazine, Adel-Naim Reyhani (BIM) outlines how the very same Europe, which brought forth a historic international agreement on the protection of refugees almost 70 years ago, is now about to reverse the right to asylum. He argues why today global approaches and a discussion about the shortcomings of the international order are needed to overcome the rampant rightlessness of asylum-seekers at the borders of Europe.
