Welcome to the team, Johanna!
Johanna Blimlinger has been supporting the programme line “(In-)equalities and non-discrimination” as a researcher since June 2024.
Johanna Blimlinger studied law with a focus on legal gender studies in Vienna and completed a Master’s degree in “Human Rights, Culture and Social Justice” in London. She previously worked at the Equal Treatment Commission and as a research assistant at the Institute for Legal Gender Studies at the Johannes Kepler University Linz.
Johanna’s main focus lies in the following areas:
- anti-discrimination law
- legal and social dimensions of gender relations
- fundamental and human rights guarantees of equality
- feminist (legal) theory.
At the Ludwig Boltzmann Institute of Fundamental and Human Rights (LBI-GMR), Johanna works on developments in the field of equality and non-discrimination. She is particularly interested in how law and society interact to create realities. It is especially important to Johanna to ask the right questions.
