Nicole Vidan has been working as a Student Assistant in the Research Network Democracy and Human Rights at the LBI-GMR since March 2026. Her research interests are international human rights law, democracy, rule of law, gender equality and children’s rights. She is also Member of the Young League for Human Rights Austria.

Nicole studies Law at the University of Vienna. Before joining the institute, she worked as a Student Assistant at the department of Civil Law and at the department of Constitutional and Administrative Law. In addition, she studied in Lyon, focusing on international law. Meanwhile, she did multiple internships at various international law firms and NGOs. She received multiple merit scholarships and volunteers at the Legal Literacy Project, teaching children in school about law.
