TURKEY: Strengthening Institutions in the Fight against Trafficking in Human Beings (Twinning)

About the Project

The aim of this project was to strengthen the capacities of Turkish institutions in the fight against trafficking in human beings, to improve Turkish anti-trafficking legislation and to develop a sustainable comprehensive anti-trafficking strategy, involving all relevant actors from the Turkish Government and civil society. The Ludwig Boltzmann Institut für Grund- und Menschenrechte (LBI-GMR) contributed to this project, which was implemented in cooperation with the Berlin Criminal Police Agency and the Turkish Ministry of Interior, mainly in the field of victim assistance and protection by sending experts to carry out a series of research, training and awareness-raising activities.
