The Ludwig Boltzmann Institute for Fundamental and Human Rights (LBI-GMR) is Austria’s largest non-university research institution in its field. It advances human rights research, advocates a human rights-based approach and contributes to improving the human rights situation in Austria and abroad. In particular, the Institute is characterised by its interdisciplinary focus and its commitment to applied research and the so-called ‘Third Mission’.
Alongside legal experts, people from a wide range of disciplines and nations work on human rights issues at the Ludwig Boltzmann Institute for Fundamental and Human Rights.
