This volume analyses both the national residence and integration law regulations and the development of a temporary protection system within the European Union. In doing so, it critically examines the national regulations that have already been created in implementation of the EU Directive and at the same time gives indications as to which refugee and human rights aspects are to be given special attention in the still outstanding transformation in the other EU member states.
The second focus of the volume is on the problematic relationship between temporary protection and the protection regime of the Geneva Refugee Convention (Refugee Convention).
