The construction industry is a key economic factor in Austria. Construction affects us all and the results are visible from afar. Benefit from this and build on sustainability – through fair working conditions in construction! Sustainability is based on three pillars: the ecological, the economic and the social pillar. It is about the stability and self-sustainability of a system, without access to ever more or new resources. Comprehensive corporate responsibility, or corporate social responsibility (CSR), means more than just complying with legal requirements and requires special measures in the economic, ecological and social areas. In addition to the largely well-established environmental issues, social sustainability in particular is a key aspect of this responsibility in the construction industry. Where labour is heavily used and the risk of injury is high, the issue of qualified, satisfied and motivated workers plays a major role. This is the topic of “Bauen auf Nachhaltigkeit”.
