An exciting, impressive feature film about migration and the dependencies and dangers associated with it. With her feature film debut (OT: SIN SEÑAS PARTICULARES), Mexican Fernanda Valadez proves her flair for visually powerful, emotional and exciting storytelling. At the Sundance Film Festival, the most influential film festival for independent cinema, IDENTIFYING FEATURES, the film’s international title, won the Audience Award and the Best Screenplay Award.
Short description of the film:
Central Mexico: Together with a friend, teenager Jesús takes the 670 bus to the U.S. border, a risky crossing that many Mexicans hope will lead to a better life. When his friend’s body turns up several months later and there is no sign of Jesús either, his mother is not prepared to give up hope despite all the warnings and sets off in search of her son. Her journey takes her to the death zone of northern Mexico, one of the most dangerous places in the world. In no man’s land, she encounters many who share her fate, for what happened to Jesús is far from an isolated incident. Step by step, she gets closer to the truth. Watch the Trailer.
