Conference: International Criminal Law before Domestic Courts

The Institute for Constitutional and Administrative Law of the University of Vienna is organising the conference  “International Criminal Law before Domestic Courts” together with the LBI-GMR. During the conference, national and international experts will analyse what contribution national law can make to the enforcement of international criminal law within the framework of its potential universality as well as subsidiarity and complementarity under international criminal law. With keynotes by Prof. Dr. William Schabas and Prof. Dr. Kai Ambos, the conference will cover a broad range of topics such as the interrelation between international criminal law and human rights, the cultural dimension of international criminal law, the prosecution of conflict-related sexual violence as an international crime or the use of novel digital evidence in national criminal courts.

The international conference will be held in English and will take place as a hybrid event at the Faculty of Law of the University of Vienna and via livestream. Participation in the conference is free of charge. Registration is requested.
