Conference: Human Trafficking and Covid-19

From Wed, 14 October 2022- Thu, 15 October 2020, a virtual conference will take place on the occasion of the EU Anti-Trafficking Day. The experts of the Ludwig Boltzmann Institute for Fundamental and Human Rights Julia Planitzer and Helmut Sax will actively participate as speakers.

The virtual conference “Trafficking in Human Beings under the Sign of Corona” will focus on the impact of the lockdown and the changes and measures brought about by Corona on the fight against trafficking in human beings and show that economic predicaments are closely linked to the risk of exploitation and trafficking in human beings.

The conference is organized by the Austrian Task Force on Combating Trafficking in Human Beings, together with the Vienna Institute for International Dialogue and Cooperation (VIDC) and the International Organization for Migration (IOM).

The event is open to the public and there is no registration fee.
