On Wed, 29 September 2021 Karin Lukas, President of the European Committee of Social Rights (Council of Europe) and senior researcher at the Ludwig Boltzmann Institute of Fundamental and Human Rights (LBI-GMR), will be speaking at the round table on the “European Social Charter – 60th anniversary and 25 years of Russian membership of the Council of Europe” in Moscow.

This event is organised by the Department of the European Social Charter of the Council of Europe and the Council of Europe Programme Office in the Russian Federation, in co-operation with the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of Russia and the Presidential Council for Civil Society and Human Rights of the Russian Federation.

The meeting will feature addresses by Christophe Poirel, Council of Europe Director of Human Rights; Andrey Pudov, Deputy Minister of Labour and Social Protection; Alexandre Grouchko, Deputy Foreign Minister; Valery Fadeev, Chairman of the Presidential Council for Civil Society and Human Rights; Karin Lukas, President of the European Committee of Social Rights (ECSR); Giusepppe Palmisano, General rapporteur of the ECSR, and Ekaterina Torkunova, member of the ECSR, as well as of representatives of Russian and European trade union federations.
