Digitization is fundamentally changing healthcare through technological applications such as algorithms, robots and artificial intelligence. This creates new opportunities and challenges for prevention, early detection, diagnostics and therapy. Care processes and the use of healthcare services are changing.

On Thu, 30 September 2021, Sabine Mandl, Senior Researcher for Women’s Rights and Rights of Persons with Disabilities at the Ludwig Boltzmann Institute for Fundamental and Human Rights, spoke at the conference “#women’shealth 4.0 – Opportunities, Challenges and Risks” at Vienna City Hall on the topic of “Online Violence against Women and Girls in Austria.” The event was hosted by the Office for Women’s Health and Health Goals, Strategic Health Care of the City of Vienna. The lecture can be viewed here.

As part of the event “#women’shealth 4.0 – opportunities, challenges and risks”, the Vienna Program for Women’s Health published an anthology “Women’s Health and Digitalization”. In 24 contributions, the opportunities and challenges of digitalization that have an impact on women’s health are discussed from different perspectives.

You can download the anthology below in the download section or have a look on the Website of Vienna Women’s Health Program.
