Austrian Task Force on Combating Human Trafficking

In November 2004 the Austrian Task Force on Combating Human Trafficking coordinated by the Federal Ministry of European and International Affairs was set up. In general the Task Force has to coordinate the inter-ministerial efforts against trafficking in human beings, aims at identifying new developments and trends and elaborates together with NGOs and research institutions common strategies against trafficking in human beings.

As member of the Task Force the BIM takes part in the regular meetings and is actively involved in activities of the Task Force. In addition the BIM is also member of the specific Task Force working group on child trafficking.
