Inside Police Custody: Suspects´ rights at the investigative stage of the criminal process

On 14 December 2018, the Ludwig Boltzmann Institute of Fundamental and Human Rights (LBI-GMR) hosted a conference on “Inside Police Custody: Suspects´ rights at the investigative stage of the criminal process “.

The background of the event was a project supported by the EU Commission examining the legal and practical implementation of EU procedural rights in nine Member States. In this context, the Ludwig Boltzmann Institute wrote the Austrian country report. The aim of the conference was to present and discuss the project results for Austria and to present best practices from all nine EU Member States.
