On Tuesday, 12 March 2024, our Scientific Director Michael Lysander Fremuth took part in the Fundamental Rights Forum of the EU Fundamental Rights Agency (FRA). As a participant in the panel “Digitalisation and people: Preventing discrimination, enabling social solidarity”, he addressed the ambivalence of digitalisation and artificial intelligence for the protection of fundamental and human rights. Fremuth also introduced to existing or planned regulatory approaches while paying particular attention to the idea of a human right to a human decision. In the context of discrimination, he warned against placing too much trust in AI-generated results and their neutrality.
