ÖAW Fellowship for Konstantina Stavrou

We congratulate our colleague Konstantina Stavrou on receiving a scholarship from the Austrian Academy of Sciences for highly qualified doctoral students.

Our colleague Konstantina Stavrou, researcher in the programme line “General Human Rights Issues” at the Ludwig Boltzmann Institute of Fundamental and Human Rights (LBI-GMR) received a fellowship for highly qualified doctoral candidates from the Austrian Academy of Sciences (ÖAW) in November 2022.

This scholarship will support our colleague’s doctoral research until the end of October 2025. Stavrou, under the supervision of our scientific director Michael Lysander Fremuth, is researching the human rights impact of the introduction of user-generated digital evidence in international criminal proceedings. For her research entitled “A double-edged sword? Assessing the human rights impact of the introduction of user-generated digital evidence in international criminal proceedings”, she was the only lawyer in Austria to receive an award at the ceremony on 21 June 2022.
