Nora Katona is a strong advocate of the rights of persons in particularly vulnerable situations. Before joining the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) as an anti-trafficking advisor, she worked as a researcher at the Institute in the Human Dignity and Public Security Team. She worked on the prevention of torture and inhuman treatment, in particular procedural rights in the police investigation process and national prevention mechanisms, as well as on combating trafficking in human beings.
