Philipp Hamedl is a prison social worker and previously worked as a research assistant at our institute. He specializes in social work and psychosocial counselling of detainees, mentally ill persons and asylum seekers, as well as in research in the field of criminal justice and human rights, prevention of torture and ill-treatment, and rights of detainees and monitoring of national prevention mechanisms.
