A complainant turns to Geneva with the allegation of a human rights violation and gets justice – national authorities refuse financial compensation with reference to the non-binding nature of the international decision.
What options does the victim of an internationally established human rights violation have to obtain domestic redress? Until now, there has been no study on the implementation of reparation obligations under international law in the case of human rights violations in Austria – this work closes this gap.
