Digitale Spiele im Geschichtsunterricht & in der Politischen Bildung
Digital games represent an interesting didactic tool and offer possibilities for expanding the teaching of history and civic education, not only in times of distance learning. The brochure “Digitale Spiele im Geschichtsunterricht & in der Politischen Bildung” presents possibilities of how digital games can be integrated into lessons in a simple and straightforward way. For the analysis of digital games, a general and a historical game analysis are presented. In the second part, 18 digital games are presented: Ranging from expensive titles of commercial producers to serious games and indie titles. Just as diverse are the eras covered and topics addressed: from Ancient Egypt to Vienna around 1900 to National Socialism as well as futuristic utopias and dystopias. Each game is briefly described, after which didactic processing suggestions are offered.
