On Friday, 8 December 2023, from 5:30 to 6:00 p.m. Verena Krausneker from the Ludwig Boltzmann Institute of Fundamental and Human Rights (LBI-GMR) and Lydia Fenkart from HLMW9 (project partner school) will present the project “BAG-Sign” in the verbal workshop “Sign Language Research and Deaf Studies in Austria”. The workshop will be held as part of the 47th Austrian Linguistics Conference, which will take place at the University of Graz from 8 to 10 December 2023.

The project “Be Aware of the Grammar of Sign Languages. Resources for Teachers and Pupils. (BAG-Sign)” aims to strengthen the language skills in sign languages of deaf, hard of hearing and hearing pupils. The aim is to raise the level of sign language teaching in schools by qualifying teachers.
