Summer School: „The European System of Human Rights Protection – ECHR”

When:

Monday, 01 to Friday, 12 July 2024

Where:

Europa-Universität Viadrina, Große Scharrnstraße 59, 15230 Frankfurt (Oder) , Germany

Andreas Sauermoser, researcher at the Ludwig Boltzmann Institute of Fundamental and Human Rights (LBI-GMR), will be teaching this July at the European University Viadrina.

As part of the Summer School on “The European System of Human Rights Protection – ECHR”, our colleague from the programme line “General Human Rights Issues” will deliver a lecture on the “Right to Liberty and Security.”

The Summer School will deal in detail with the European human rights protection system, addressing crucial aspects relevant to over forty European countries with diverse political, economic, and social systems. The subject matter, therefore, includes human rights protection under the regimes of the Council of Europe, the European Union and the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe.

This programme is specially designed for young academics and advanced students who wish to expand their knowledge of human rights within a transnational European context.
