Dorit Aschauer joined the Institute as a university assistant (prae doc) and researcher in the programme line „General Human Rights Issues“ in September 2023. She studied law with a specialisation on public international and environmental law at the University of Vienna and completed an exchange semester at Monash University in Melbourne. During her experience abroad, she could also deepen her knowledge about Australian indigenous peoples and climate change, which will be the subject of her PhD thesis.

Previously, she worked at the OPEC Secretariat in Vienna, gaining valuable practical experience.
