International Children’s Day on 20 November

20 November 2012 marks the 23rd anniversary of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child . The convention is characterised by high standards for children, but bringing the convention from words on paper to real action is difficult.  Most states, including Austria, have ratified the convention. Helmut Sax, child rights expert at the BIM talks on the radio program OE1 about the implementation of the convention.

On the occassion of the International Children’s Day, the radio program OE1 discusses the rights of children between November 19 and 22 at 9.30.  Ute Maurnböck-Mosser makes a reality check and interviews child rights expert Helmut Sax about his view on the implementation of children’s rights in Austria.
