The study about Equality Bodies which were established during the implementation of EU directives, analyses the extent to which the equality bodies established in the Member States are in compliance with those directives.The study will enable important learning processes, how the full potential in combating discrimination can be achieved.

On the basis of national reports, a synthesis report was written by a consortium, which contains recommendations to the European Commission, the Member States and the equality bodies in order to improve their efficiency and impact.

The project was carried out by a consortium of two organisations – the Human European Consultancy and the Ludwig Boltzmann Institute of Human Rights.
