Agnes Taibl
MScAgnes Taibl has been with the Ludwig Boltzmann Institute of Fundamental and Human Rights (LBI-GMR) since 2015 and is Head of the Research Group “Rule of Law and Public Sector Reform”. She provides strategic leadership, operational guidance, and quality assurance for research group’s project portfolio. Her work focuses on rule of law, public sector reform, good governance, and a human rights-based approach. She also leads and manages complex EU-funded projects that combine applied research, capacity building, institutional reform, and legal approximation in the context of the EU’s enlargement and neighbourhood policies.
Agnes holds Master’s degrees in Development Studies and International Business Administration and a Certificate in Organisational Development. Before joining LBI-GMR, she worked in international development cooperation with the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) in South Africa and Zimbabwe, supporting local governance, democratic reforms, and civil society. She also served as an adviser to an anti-corruption parliamentary committee of inquiry in the Austrian Parliament. Throughout her career, she has worked at the intersection of policy, institutional reform, and international cooperation, contributing to stronger governance systems through collaboration with public institutions and civil society.
