About the Project
Research Topic & Roadmap
The project “Assistance with the Implementation of the Human Rights-(Umbrella) Policy Prototype for the Raiffeisen Nachhaltigkeits-Initiative (RNI)” will be carried out by the Ludwig Boltzmann Institute of Fundamental and Human Rights (LBI-GMR) together with members of the Raiffeisen Nachhaltigkeits-Initiative from April 2022 to June 2022. It looks at ways of implementing the standards elaborated in the human rights policy prototype in the business practice of the participating RNI members.
Research Focus
In order to improve human rights due diligence in the financial sector, the project aims to include human rights in already existing risk management systems. This approach intends to breathe life into the already elaborated Human Rights-Policy Prototype.
Research Method
The LBI-GMR works across programme lines on this project. Researchers from the programme lines Business and Development Cooperation, Asylum and Migration, and (In-)Equalities and Non-Discrimination are supporting the project partners in the search of possibilities to implement the Human Rights-Policy Prototype.
